My Lenten Journey
Lent is a solemn religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at six weeks later, the night before Easter Sunday.
-Pray often-How Can I Pray MORE Often and MORE Easily?
First… Say “Good Morning” to the Lord.
Second… Acknowledge God as you begin your day.
Fourth… Spend a few moments at the first of your day in the Bible–reading, learning, and taking some notes
-Arms giving-Alms or almsgiving involves giving to others as an act of virtue, either materially or in the sense of providing capabilities free. It exists in a number of religions and cultures
-Fast-giving people something you don't really need like money or food or water.

The treaty
-the maori first came to New zealand between 1250 and 1300.
-Captain cook came and put the country on the world map.
-By the late 1830s,around two thousand Europeans-most of them were british-were living in New zealand.
-At the time Britain was a powerful country that ruled over an empire it decided that new zealand should become part of the british empire too.
-In the late january 1840s a british official named william hobson arrived in the bay of islands.
-Hobson wanted the chiefs to sign the treaty but there was but there was too much debate at hui.
