Elijah term 4 2020 Stories about Mary

26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”[a] 29 But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. 30 The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?”[b] 35 The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born[c] will be holy; he will be called Son of God. 36 And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God.” 38 Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

Cockroach

 Today we've been learning about cockroaches now i know it seems creepy and yuck but there are fun facts about them they can live without a head and water for a week but for food they can live for month i know right that is weird they can also run like a car that can go down a driveway wow that is a pretty cool fun fact about them.   

 The food that they eat is soap the water that they drink is beer and all the other thing  you could think of that is also weird how it can eat those kind of things.

 Cockroaches have 2 antennas and 6 legs just letting you know if you do not know what is a cockroach. It is an insect.They can use use their antennae to sense people when they are trying to kill them and the kinda weird is the brown bit is the exoskeleton it grows on the outside of its body.

They live under things and they live in some peoples house like my old house that is so creepy they come out of night time to live inside your house they sneak through the little holes and the gaps and the doorknobs the can live anywhere cockroaches prefer to live in warm, dark, wet areas, like sewers and basements.

They can run so fast like i know i said but it is true they can run 3 miles like a car going down to a drive way i know right pretty cool to know that and that is what i know on cock roaches.

Wow it's finally the holidays So during the holidays me and my mum went shopping.my mum gave me all the ingredients but it was on the list so i don't mind because it was my first time helping my mum with the list.it was fun my mum was happy because she hast seen me in a long time picking up the ingredients from the shelf i never seen my so proud of her boy so i was feeling so grateful  the ingredients were Eggs,Butter,Cooking oil. The meal was an omelette. I was excited for an omelette because I have never eaten it before so I said to myself why don't try it.

 I grabbed the frying pan and cooked with my mum and that was my first time cooking with mum it was fun usually mum always does the cooking with my brother in law because he makes the best meal for dinner so i asked let me do the cooking you've been cooking for the whole year with mum so rest and let take over the work so he said to me whatever you say okay 

So once we were talking the meal was finally ready i 

Already know that the whole whanau so my mum 

Said everyone at the table now so once we all got 

Got here mum said gather around everyone we

Are gonna say a prayer before we eat so i said 

Im gonna do it for my whanau so mum said

Okay okay… so i started with dear heavenly

Father we a gather around to praise you and

Give glory to you thank you for the water

We drink the food we eat and every things that 

You’ve bless us with in jesus is name amen 

Amen and amen again so we all started to

Feast and my mum was so proud of me helping her 

And me and my whanau lived happily ever and 

after.

Monday 12th of october 2020 

• His object is a small mirror the endeavor crew took mirrors 

And cook gave many to the maori on his visit.

• I was the best looking mirror in James Cook's eyes. I was used to looking at pale faces and all of a sudden I was looking at brown maori men. In my days I was a small, tiny mirror just wishing he could grow into a bigger mirror. They found me in the sand next to the sea. I could see just sea waves moving. The sun was fading away. A young boy named Toa Otiriunu came along. He was the owner of me. He took care of me and suddenly he was doing a haka and he got shot from a cannon. It broke me. I fell down and I broke myself and I was missing for all those years but I was found by a man who picked me up from the ground and repaired me. I was brand new and I was put into an envelope in a box. I didn't know what year it was until I heard the man say 2020! I was mind blown. I was given to a school named saint pius x catholic school. The room was room 5. The only thing I saw was little kids grabbing me in line with other objects. The teacher started writing everyone and a kid used me for  writing. His name was Elijah. He was a good friend. He took care of me and after I never got lost again.

Throughout the holidays I was playing with my friends Laurence, Pita, Sio and Aisake.us together as boyz.We play on weekends always and holidays,we keep on playing and playing until the holidays end. the game that me and my friends were playing is fortnite fortnite is a battle royale game where 100 people around the world gets to eliminate people from the game there modes are solo squads duos every single category.we my friends played creative we played a noscope map and 1v1 map it was fun but there was also laughter and raging but it was fun playing with friends no scope map is pretty much snipers and hunting rifles and grapplers and impulse grenades they a for trickshotting its pretty fun,the 1v1 map was a map that was created a guy named chappa,he was the creator that made the 1v1 map.the 1v1 map is a map where you eliminate and when talk trash about them that's when you 1v1 one them so it can fair that's what me and my friends did in the holiday the end.

my meditation place.

Hear- I can hear the cold wind just flowing around my ears. I can hear little birds singing to each other. I can hear animals having a great time with their animal mates. I can hear deers running around the nice beautiful forest.

Feel- i feel the sun ray cooling down on my body and the nice warm  wind it reminds me of when i was i baby my mother use to put baby oil on my skin and face,in my childhood i could feel my body levitating up in the air and it's like when my mother use to lift me up and took care of me.

Smell-i can smell the nice fresh cool air and green leaves it smells like  the sound of mother nature you can smell also smell the breeze gong up to your noes and out.

God created the first man Adam and then created the first woman, Eve. God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to care and nurture the land. He told Adam and Eve that they could eat from any fruit from the trees except for the tree of good and evil. God warned them that if they ate from the tree they would die.

One day Satan came disguised as a snake and spoke to Eve, convincing her to eat the fruit from the tree of good and evil. Eve told the serpent that God said they should not eat it and they would die if they did, but Satan tempted Eve to eat saying that she would become like God if she did. Eve believed the lie and took a bite of the fruit. She then gave some to Adam for him to eat. Adam and Eve, now knowing that they had sinned, immediately felt ashamed and tried to hide from God.

emmaus.

today we are learning about  Emmaus is Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him.

He asked them, “What are you discussing together as you walk along?”

They stood still, their faces downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?”

 “What things?” he asked.

“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.  The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him;  but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning but didn’t find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.”

 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!  Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?”  And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther. But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.

When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.

today in religious education we are learning how to reconcile with god and others if relationships are broken . reconcile is the end of the estrangement, caused by original sin, between God and humanity. This includes any liquid, solid, or gas. A chemical is any pure substance (an element) or any mixture (a solution, compound, or gas). They can either occur naturally or can be created artificially.

2020 keep it simple for lent action plan

I am giving up on scabbing off food, and  spending parents money , Lent is a special time of reflection and faith, practiced in prayer and by the act of giving up something. That “something” depends on the person observing Lent, with the main guidelines being that it has to be something that’s challenging to give up during this period. (In other words, giving up chores wouldn’t fit the bill.)

For Western Christian Churches that observe the church year, Lent starts on Ash Wednesday (February 26). For many denominations, this begins what the church considers the "forty day fast within Lent"—the 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday (April 12). But the 40 days aren’t as straightforward in regards to timing. For one, you’ll notice that there are actually 46 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday. This is because the Sundays of Lent aren’t “prescribed days of fast and abstinence” by the church. Basically, it means that it’s up to the individual to continue abstaining from the item or act of their choosing on Sundays.

In all, the act of giving up something for Lent is to practice self-discipline and remember the sacrifices Jesus made. Here are a few common items and acts that many choose to give up for Lent.
